Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), M.A.C.P
Therapy has helped me to be vulnerable, understand myself better, and grow out of old patterns that no longer served me. My own positive experiences in therapy, combined with the self reflection that resulted from a long stint of solo travel, led me to pursue formal training in psychology. To me, therapy is powerful, yet deceptively simple: it is a place to talk through fears, desires, and internal conflicts without fearing judgment. I want to normalise counselling, so that it is as natural to mention going to therapy as it is to talk about going to the gym.
Developing a genuine and solid connection with my clients is the most important thing to me. Clients often express appreciation for my empathic and curious nature, sharing that they feel open and relaxed while talking to me. My approach is to truly get to know you and understand your perspective before introducing interventions or psychoeducation. While I may have the training to connect certain dots, you are the true expert on yourself, and our collaboration is what propels the therapy forward.
My therapeutic approach is flexible and tailored to what feels most appropriate and impactful in the moment. I am grounded in person-centered therapy, with a flexible blend of ACT, somatic approaches, and CBT. However, my approach is to truly get to know you and understand your perspective before introducing interventions or psychoeducation. We will see what arises organically during our conversations, and I adapt my approach based on what feels the most important, will make our time together most effective.
I’m an athlete, world traveller, youngest child (of 4!), and avid thrifter. I recently learned I have ADHD, which explains so much about my life. It’s been eye-opening in helping me better understand how I show up for others—and for myself. I’ve realized I thrive on movement and social energy, but I also love slowing down with a good book or painting when I need time alone.
While I often find myself willingly going outside my comfort zone, I equally value the comfort and security of close relationships and family.
If you are feeling drawn to connect with me for counselling, I’d love to meet you for an initial consultation or session so that you can determine if I’ll be a good fit for you. I look forward to connecting!
