I’ve always appreciated the impact of being attended to and understood. Throughout my own life’s ups and downs, I’ve experienced the transformative power of being listened to and taken seriously. These encounters drive my work with clients today.

At an early age and throughout my life, as I have struggled with life’s ebbs and flows, I have realized how support and connection can provide people with a space for discovery. Through my own personal experiences, I have learned how essential it is to have a space to be heard.

I help people who feel stuck in cycles of conflict or disconnection build healthier patterns so that they can show up with integrity in their relationships and lives. Many of my clients struggle with self-doubt, anxiety, or feeling misunderstood. Together, we develop the tools and self-awareness they need to move forward with confidence and ease.

I also see many couples and families who struggle to communicate and connect, and I help them get past defensive patterns so that they can build relationships built on more respect, trust and empathy.

I’m dedicated to helping people understand themselves, whether that’s around their cultural identity, sexuality, relationships, or mental health, so they can live in alignment with who they are.

What You Can Expect When Working With Rhiannon

I’m flexible, non-judgemental, and easy-going, and I believe therapy works best when it feels like an organic, collaborative experience—not something being done to you.

I believe in supporting those who are struggling to have a voice, and for that voice to provide a pathway towards growth and wellness. I am passionate about people, healing, and supporting those who need it most. My personal and professional values are intertwined. I believe in empowerment and supporting individuals to be the best they can be.

I have extensive knowledge of relationships, couples, individuals, and parent/child therapy. I work with clients struggling with various types of addiction, specifically substance abuse. I am also passionate about supporting clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I also support clients with sexuality along with gender diversity.

In our sessions, I want clients to feel valued and heard. I truly believe each person possesses their own unique strengths and qualities, to manage life’s difficulties. My goal is to provide a space where clients can discover their own unique gifts and use them to create a foundation to grow and move forward.

I work from a strength-based approach, which means I help you tap into the skills and qualities you already have while building new tools to handle life’s most challenging curve balls. I’m transparent about my approach and believe that everyone has what it takes to create change. My role is to help you see that in yourself and use it as a foundation to grow.

Rhiannon's Experience & Training

I graduated with my Master’s in Counselling in 2019, but my training in this field started long before that. I spent a decade at the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre, where I studied and practised Attachment Theory, and gained experience in trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, and working with youth in crisis. I’ve also worked in addiction services and have run therapy groups at treatment centres. In recent years, I’ve seen clients in private practice, where I supervised other therapists and had a busy caseload of professionals, students, couples and families.

I’ve helped a range of people from varied walks of life. Within this diversity, I am always finding universal themes in our humanity, and above all, the desire to live with more ease, confidence, and connection. All of these experiences have shaped how I show up for my clients: grounded, informed, and committed to meeting people where they are.
