Full Bio

Please be advised that Mark Majewski is not currently accepting new clients.

Counselling is more of a calling than a vocation for me. I feel my life experiences and struggles help me connect with people experiencing anxiety, depression, frustration, isolation, day-to-day boredom, relationship stress and (perhaps especially) existential angst.

I experience great joy in helping clients discover their inner strengths. And I absolutely love helping clients find meaning and connection as they express their values and put them into action.

What You Can Expect When Working With Mark

I adapt my counselling approach to the situation, the goals of each client, and emotions present in therapy. Clients have often shared that they appreciate my calm, curious, and compassionate manner.

My work with clients is grounded in therapeutic models such as ACT, CBT, and somatic approaches, but I don’t plan sessions around interventions. We explore what’s coming up for you—talking through and leaning into related emotions.

In being with clients, I find I am often able to perceive subtle themes and patterns running through their lives. I find the key to helping often lies in sharing these observations gently and encouraging curiosity. When these observations hold truth and meaning for people, and are nourished therapeutically, I have often seen them grow into self-awareness and positive change.

Mark's Experience & Training

I came to the counselling profession in my forties—after decades in stressful executive roles, after years of waiting to adopt two wonderful children, and after a health crisis that landed me in hospital for nearly a month.

I joined a men’s group after my hospital visit because I knew I’d need support as I processed the changes I wanted to make in my life. Within a couple of years, our facilitator asked me to lead a group myself. I facilitated my first group the same month I started my master’s degree in counselling, and I knew I’d found a path that clicked. Since then, I have gained deep satisfaction and meaning from supporting others—whether they’re experiencing pivotal life changes or seeking to release stuck patterns.

More About Mark

I am calm at heart but experience my share of anxiety. I am a perfectionist in certain ways, but I embrace self-care. I am a striver who also likes doing nothing, and a thinker who enjoys stepping into action. I am a student of life—mainly “passing,” sometimes “failing,” always trying.

I can often be found on my bike. Spinning my wheels helps me feel grounded! I cook a lot too—mainly Mexican and Italian. I also love hanging out with my wife and two daughters. So many opportunities to have fun and make mistakes!
